A typical old apartment in western suburb of Mumbai situated in Andheri west where space is a constraint in a low rise building with a scarce natural light and outside view, this is where the story and concept begins of a designer to get the space bright and ventilated in the fast moving city of Mumbai, where tall towers and skyscrapers are growing.Using White colour which is the lightest colour and is achromatic. The White colour theme used reflects and scatters all visible wavelengths of Light, making the space bright and fresh to the eye; the person using the space feels more energetic. The use of Satvario, a kind of Marble, which is white in colour with precious black natural lines and a high glossy coat. The Burberry beige flooring creates a neutral base for all the objects, movables, units and wall claddings in the space.Glass shutters of the wardrobe reflects maximum light on the walls in the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a cornered window, this part of the master bedroom is designed using hand polished wooden battens which gives a cosy feeling to this part, which makes this an ideal place for reading or relaxing. The subtle use of alligator leather texture as wall cladding in the bedroom keeps it simple and clean.
